It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn

Just before Winter Solstice, Dec 22, the energies of the Longest Night are with us. You may feel heavy and turbulent and downcast. Everything creative seems to take a bit more effort during this period.

In the old days, the solstice was celebrated as the day when the dark night began its journey back into light and the shortest day began to lengthen back towards summer once again. This was the origin of Christmas - a traditional celebration of the turning of the seasons back to light, a day marked by many tribes and civilizations throughout time.

Keep your chin up. The Light is returning.
